In this old coaching inn, which has been run by the same family since 1870, we take great pride in our sense of hospitality and cuisine. The cooking is refined and mature, with subtle mixes of flavours, deeply rooted in the Poitou Charentes region. We are proud to serve a range of excellent local produce such as squab, kid, "petit gris" snails, cheeses, and salt-water fish... without forgetting truffles, which appear on special seasonal menus.
Chef Mathias Martin serves a light refined cuisine made with seasonal produce sourced from local farmers.
The main rooms and private rooms of our restaurant in Coulombiers (listed in the Bib Gourmand Michelin and awarded 2 "toques" in the Gault et Millau guide) can be booked for family gatherings, seminars, or business meals.
